Learning Colours with a Construction Paper Paste

After learning a new colour, reinforce it by doing a Construction Paper Paste.



Cut out little pieces of construction paper of the colour you're learning. Print out a colouring page outlining an item of the new colour. I tried to pick fruits, vegetables or animals and looked for pictures with a large section of empty space where the papers could be pasted. Then let the child paste the papers onto the colouring page.


To reduce the mess, try putting some glue in one dimple of an egg carton. This way it won't tip easily and spill. Then use a popsicle stick to apply the glue.
