Learning Colours by Making Colourful Caterpillars

This was a fun craft and pretty inexpensive.

Cut an egg carton so you have the 6 bumps in a row. I got three caterpillars out of mine since I had an 18 egg carton.

Then pull out the paints and paint each hump one of the six main colours. We did them one at a time. That way my kids weren't tempted to mix all the colours together and they got the colours in order.

My boys really enjoy painting.

When they are done let them dry. My 2 year old and 3 year old each made one and I did one too!

Glue pompoms to the front for eyes and stick pipe cleaners in the top for antennae.
